Les photos d'Hedi Slimane m'ont toujours impressionnées par la force qu'elles dégagent. L'angle et la pose du modèle sont accentués par le noir et le blanc et prennent alors toute leur ampleur et leur caractère. Il n'y a pas de but dans ces photos, elles n'ont pas été prises pour apprendre ou illustrer quelque chose. C'est l'art de saisir l'essence même du personnage au bon moment. Il y a des images où l'on peut vraiment sentir ce que ressent le sujet seulement grâce à l'expression des yeux.
Sur le cliché ci-dessus l'épaule prend les 2/3 de l'image mais elle a presque plus d’importance que le visage du modèle grâce à ses courbes nettes et ses ombres...
Pour moi, cette photo est un chef d'oeuvre ne fût-ce que pour son authenticité et sa sensibilité...

Hedi Slimane's pictures have always impressed me because of the power that they reach.
The angle and the posture of the model are accentuated by the black and white and gain sweep and character. There are no purpose on these pictures, they were'nt took to teach or illustrate something. It's the art of capturing the essence of the character at the right moment. There are pictures where you can really feel what the model feels and only beacause of the expression of the eyes.
Hereabove the shoulder takes three quarters of the image but it is almost more important than the model's face because of the clear-cut curves and the shadows...
For me that picture is a masterpiece if only for his autenticity and his sensiblility...
Do you also perceive it like that?
